Wow, look at those leaves on the ground! Almost looks like the beginnings of fall weather (though I guess it's not).

Hi from GA. . .happens every year in the East, that leaves on the ground thing. Seems to be the stress of the Summer heat and usually happens mid August. The past few years with BIG heat and drought they're falling some earlier, like July ! We were loading for our AZ move on July 1st and it was 105 here in Jawja. That's brutal with humidity. Enjoy JC and see you in AZ, regards, Craig

We had a cottonwood (about 10 years old) loose almost all the leaves a month ago when the temps were in the mid '90's. We thought it had caught a disease, but a friend explained it was because of the heat; fewer leaves, less water loss (evapotranspiration I think) by the tree. I never knew they were so smart. We gave it more water and it grew most of them back in a few weeks. Never seen that before.

We are parked at the Airstream factory and went on the tour this afternoon. It was very impressive and Don does a great job. We also spent a bunch of money at the company store.

Going out tonight to the Hideaway Bar for a burger.

We hope the weather holds out for y'all. most of the USA is in a drought, it's rained here everyday for most of the week. I can't even get the 34'er parked in the back yard because it's too muddy.

Well, that makes me feel better about your being there and us not being there .

Nice to have a bit of cool and rain for a short while at least?

Where to next?

Hi, I guess that JC is like Las Vegas; After spending all of your money, you have to go home.

Two days from JC and we are at another State Park. This one is Viking Lake in Iowa and it is great. It looks like we will be at the RMVAC a day early so we will be looking for a place in Gunnison to catch up on Laundry.

It certainly was two years ago, when we attended. Not this year but hopefully soon again.
