It was great to see you with Anna as you passed. There was also a brief smell of bacon in the air. Thanks for the invite.

Lets see, you have an invite to Missoula, Montana on the table, I know you have one for Ephrata, WA, and of course you would be welcome in foreign lands as well. We are only 8 miles north of the border and you could then add international to your travels this trip .

Add central Mississippi to the invite list...that almost qualifies as international, right?

Yes, Cranbury, N.J., is beautiful, at least when I was a kid and fishing on what we called Cranbury Lake in a pram with my father when I was a kid... and historical, especially the Cranbury Inn.

(I grew up in nearby Hightstown... and attended Rutgers University in nearby New Brunswick.)

And you can cool off by taking a drive down the shore to Asbury Park!

Hope you have a great time there!

Bill (I only go back there for funerals now.)

And if you head up to NY on the Delaware or Beaverkill for some fly fishing, give us a PM. Sam's a fly fishing guide on those waters. This isn't a pitch for business, she'd be glad to help out a streamer (but she won't use streamers).

And an invite to Crawford after you stop in Gunnison.

Cranberry Lake is past Lake Hopatcong going NW in the hilly part of the state.

Take the invite! You won't regret it. The drive is fantastic as well.

My daughter and grandson are staying at our house while we are on the road. Last night a line on the RO system blew off and our house was partially flooded. We have been working with clean up crews and our insurance company today.

This is why we turn off the water to the house when we leave the home empty. My daughter caught the flood early and it sounds like the damage is minimal. Not much we can do from 2500 miles away.

We also turn our water off when away, the risk is just too high. What a bummer that this happened.

Thank heavens your daughter is there and you have the proper insurance.

The company that was sent out to clean up the water found lots of damage and our home is going to require new flooring in several areas. The 850 sq ft of pergo is history along with the carpeting in our bedroom. We are still a couple of weeks from home and not looking forward to what awaits us when we return.
