On the road Someday (is today!)

Since we're traveling more than "restoring" these days I thought it was about time to start a travel thread....

We started an (almost) three week adventure today.

We're headed to the Fall Forum not-a-rally at Penn Wood Airstream park in PA, first.
Then to Acadia for a week.
Then back home down the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Congratulations and Happy Trails! I love it when the travelling finally exceeds the restoring.

I'm hoping that I will camping be on the south end of the Blueridge Parkway when you will be headed home. Maybe our paths will cross.

If you pass through Connecticut, we'd love to meet you! If you travel along I-95, we're only 1 mile out of your way. Free lunch, kids welcome.

If you need any driving advice in the area, please pm me for our phone number.

John

We're planning to camp near the end of the parkway on Friday or Saturday night, October 19th or 20th...

This picture hardly does the campground justice. It is a very nice campground with a stream going through it. (Although, the signs about the risk of flash flooding are slightly disturbing.) We pulled in to camp a little before dinner.

The leaves have already started changing here. We have thoroughly enjoyed our quiet evening in the woods with the crickets.

I'll be either in Davidson River Campground or Pisgah Campground depending on the weather. The parkway should be beautiful that week!

Fantastic! We just finished a GA unit caravan up the BRP.

There is a rally at the GA Unit campground (Top of GA) October 17-21.
