Traveling on a long trip in our AS motorhome. Just stayed in Shenandoah Valley KOA for a few days, and i want to recommend this park to anyone. It was beautiful, heavily shaded, great facilities, and a nice river with waterfalls surrounding the campgrounds. Only a few mile off I- 81 near Staunton.
Temp hit 100 degrees up there, but our 1982 AS never had a problem cruising up the mountains at 60 MPH and no more than 160 degrees water temp. On Northward......
Ref: KOA near I-81, Va. I stopped there once last year on my way to Sandbridge, Va. WHEW~ I' agree with you that, it's a lovely location, nicely taken care of but~~~~I'll never take my A/S trailer back up that road into there again..I just didn't feel very comfortable abt the tight squeez'd spots. I just felt too "Jam'd in"~~AND, That exit????? it was, if I remembered blind~both direction..I'm glad you enjoyed it as the folks have put alot into it but, it's not for me~
