Maddening is the right phrase. I'm going to have to reconnect the batteries (they're in my basement on a charger for the winter), de-winterize and hit the road or I'm gonna explode! :-)

I know - first world problems :-)

Here's to hoping for a quick thaw!!! :-)

My brother has brand new huge Class A SOB, his batteries completly froze. We were on a maintenance of three day charge, 5 days off and then hubby ran over not one but two extension cords with snowblower....don't get me started on that, just thankful he did not hit my 30 amp cord.

I just booked a hotel for grandchildren's weekend incase I can't get out and they are not happy! They r young, a simple play set keeps them happy for hours, we stay at same small campground in Ronks, backed up to fence of a farm, it is beautiful, easy and so needed. i'm working 7 days a week now, so ready for a little time off.

We need to find a massive canopy to park under... The Edwardjones dome in St. Louis, perhaps? Somewhere to drive into and park for a week with other Streamers, no risk of bad weather!

Sue and I went to the trailer together today. She brought the perfect bedding for the bed. A great C-company set we've had but not used for years. Is it ABSOLUTELY perfect! Did some measuring for the bike approach and table situation. I added some air and covers to the tires. God it felt so good to just be on the trailer together (including take out Chinese lunch :-) ).

Camping starts in 4 weeks. I hope I can hang in there without going completely crazy!!

Not so. You can buy an Airstream while only being a little bit crazy. It's only when your Airstream starts taking over your entire life that it goes from being a vice to being an addiction, and you slip over the edge into complete mental meltdown.

As long as SteveSueMac can stand to wait four weeks to go camping, they aren't completely crazy.

I on the other hand am too far gone, considering that I had to winterize three times this winter because I kept un-winterizing it to go camping. Just couldn't let it sit. Thanksgiving, my WBCCI unit's winter rally in early December, Christmas, New Year's, MLK Day, Mardi Gras… The only reason I skipped Presidents Day weekend was that my Airstream was at the Sprinter dealer for some warranty repairs. Since Mardi Gras, I have driven my Airstream somewhere every single weekend, even though it has only been for day trips and not overnights. My next overnight is Easter weekend, then more day trips like the Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival to tide me over until the Memorial Day weekend.

Since bringing our new 2014 home, a few weeks ago, winterized of course, we visit it every day, read some manuals, check in on forum, run the heater, explore the how too's, and know once we start using it, the true addition will begin. We have signed up for four rally's, plus just received word our application to the Ballon Fiesta has been accepted, so the latter portion of the season will give an opportunity to camp with 200 others. Have much anticipation on the learning curve in front of use, but know someday looking back, they will be fond memories.

Ok kids - help me out. It's late September (no Maggie May) and there's 2 maybe 3 more weekends planned before putting the Tin Goat away for the winter.

You know that feeling when it's Monday morning - you just got back from a weekend camping and you're starting the new work week but you know Thursday's coming soon and you'll be firing up the fridge, loading the back of the truck and getting ready for that Friday post-work-week trip to the next rally or campground? You're all fired up with anticipation - crap happens in the office and you're thinking - hey, I can get through this - there's a campfire with my name on it in T minus 2 days....

Well - we haven't finished the season yet and I'm already getting depressed thinking about 6 long months before that first trip! It's exactly the reverse of what I just described and it goes on forever!!!

Anyone else?

Lets start a virtual support group! What would you do? What advice would you offer? What help do you need to get through the upcoming dark times? What strategies do you have for coping?

I got aluminitus baaaaaaaaaad!!!!
