Now That's a Tight Fit!

While on the road from Osoyoos, B.C. to Spokane, WA ... we stopped for the night in Kettle Falls,WA.

Imagine our disbelief when we pulled up to our site ... and we had to back it in!

Great Scott!

I think I see a slight bend where the trees politely moved aside!

What kind of hand signals did you and Petunia use to accomplish this feat?

Post Kudos!

Wow see what full-timing does for one's backing in skills? That is a great photo, worthy of Airstream Life!
Inspiring for us newbies!

I think we need to change your name to MASTER_BACKER!! If we get in a tight spot...we know who to call now.

Oh yeah, I know the feelin'

Porky, Nice parkin spot. I sure can relate, we own a 34' excella, when you are in reverse it looks and feels like its 40' long. The big rig A/S has its advantages, but also has some drawbacks. In fact we have decided to downsize to a smaller A/S, my wife can not solo with the 34 and she wants to be able to camp with the kids when ever. Happy Motoring

Wink

Well Mr. Pig it does save wear & tear on the awning.

So tell me true Porky, have you and Petuneya ever had 2nd thoughts about your decision to buy the big AS and full time?
Is it closer to being out of your systems or closer to being a lifetime love affair (with the trailer)?

Where's the bike? Miss it?

My husband wants to know why you didn't request another site? Was the park full, or did you just enjoy the challenge

I would be afraid the overnight growth of the tree trunks would be enough to not be able to pull out in the morning.

Every once in a while we ask ourselves how long will we stay on the road ... (the plan is for a minimum of 3 years) ... we answer that with another question ... What else is there to do?

The Beemer was purchased by a good buddy ... so that means I will still get to ride it whenever I visit.

The owner of the park was away at the doctor ... our name was posted on that site ... other names were posted on other sites. If we were staying for more than one night ... we would have lobbied for another spot.

And yes ... we were up for the challenge. Well, at least I was ... I have never seen Petunia's eyes get so big!
