boondocking Williams found some info.The place was called dog lake. What I remember is you take a right turn after the safeway in willams Don't remember name of road but I think it has asign Its about six miles and then you turn of paved road and camping is everywhere.You can call the forest service for more exact directions or the little swapmeet they have on the weekends a lot of those people go up there

I think you mean dogtown lake.

Many years ago our first trip was to Kaibab Nat. Forest on the North Rim, without Cloudsplitter, after seeing those fantastic photo's can't wait to return, thanks for posting!!

There is great boondocking on the north rim, and I do mean ON the north rim, at Crazy Jug Point. Search the forums for the details.

Sorry, You are right it is called dogtown lake campground.The boondocking is before you get to cg.Turn on white horse mesa road till you see sign for cg. take turn and there is boondocking everywhere.
