New trailer damaged

So, I made it a month before someone backed into our new trailer while I was parked in line at a dump station. It's been in the shop a month, and still won't be ready for another few days. We've already had to cancel one family trip because of the trailer damage. Fortunately, nobody was hurt. The other vehicle didn't even get a scratch, because the hold-downs on a pickup camper were the only part of their vehicle to touch mine.

So sorry. That hurts. The responsible party will be in danger of losing his insurance I'm sure. That is an expensive repair. They do have insurance don't they?

You are my hero! It sounds like you took it like a real gentleman. I however would need someone to post bail... and then... lots of therapy!

Sorry to see the damage.. glad no one was hurt.. once she is fixed it will be good as new and you have that great story to tell.

Best of luck

Vinnie

Damage

The driver was extremely apologetic and they did have insurance. The insurance company is actually the reason that there was such a delay in getting the repairs done. It took them quite awhile to approve the estimate, including a 5 day delay which they attributed to not having my home address on file. It would have been nice if they had called to ask for it, instead of waiting until I called them to find out why there was a delay.

Very sad. It hurts me to look at the picture, but she will be fixed and back prowling the roads very soon.

Those never seem to stay on.

I'm sorry to hear about your accident, but I've been there and it ain't no fun. 'Cept mine was caused by a suicidal deer! Oh, and me getting too close to a guard rail coming out of a camp ground the FIRST weekend we owned it...the dear was on the second outing. Combined--$9,700! Thank heaven for insurance.

Wow! THAT is a lot of damage....expensive, too, since at least two panels need to be replaced. Don't fret too much....your baby will be as good as new in no time!

I hate when that happens.....

I guess the bright side is that you are looking at new panels so you'll be as good as (or even better than) new.
