New Sport 22FB

Hello,

We are a new Airstream family. This is my first post on AIRForums. If I have made any mistakes with this post, please let me know.

We are the proud owners of a new Sport 22FB. Tow Vehicle is a 2014 Dodge Ram with the 3.6 Liter V-6 (came with complete tow package to include Trailer Brake Control).

So far, this is a sweet combination. The 22FB pulls easily.

It occurred to me that the 22FB has only one axel (duh!). Therefore, a flat tire is potentially a much bigger deal than if there were two axels.

Should I be concerned? Are there any recommended precautions?

Thank you, in advance, for any responses.

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

Single axle Airtsreams are quite serviceable. The only suggestion that I can make is to keep a very close eye on your tires. Check the pressure often, and do a visual inspection at every stop.

May you have many great Airstream Adventures in your new Airstream.

Brian

Have had our's for 9 years now and had one flat which wasn't a big deal as it gave plenty of warning to pull over safely. This happened just after the tires were 5 years old.
