Interesting story about Kewpee's hamburgers. Reminds me of the old Maid-Rite diner in Marshalltown, Iowa. Loose meat hamburgers where the juice soaks the bun. It has been there for years and years. It's a classic sandwich in that city.

I bet New Lucy is all tickled being back at the "puppy farm".

We are still in Jackson Center. Lucy had her shop appointment today at the Airstream factory Service Center. We had to get up early as the factory tractor came and got her at the Terraport (campground) at 7:00 AM sharp. She got her new awning installed over her back window, and she got new air conditioning vent covers. A list of minor repairs and adjustments were also performed.

Lucy has an air conditioning problem that could not be handled today. We will be laying over another day so that this issue can be addressed.

Brian took Fred over to the Chevrolet dealer in Wapakoneta, Ohio, about 15 miles north of Jackson Center. Fred needs a part that they did not have in stock, but can get by tomorrow. Fred will need to go back tomorrow.

SuEllyn stayed with Lucy today to monitor her progress.

We got settled into Lucy early tonight as we will have another early morning tomorrow.

Brian

Did they figure out what was blocking the air from your curbside vents? I took mine to a dealer last Thursday to get the lack of airflow fixed and I haven't heard anything from them. It might help them to know what your problem was.

Not yet. they're still working on it. They plan to pull Lucy's roof unit tomorrow.

Hey, the new awning looks great!

Sorry they couldn't find the duct-blocker today. It will be interesting to see what went wrong with New Lucy's "lungs." I'm sure the operation will be a success. I'm equally sure the repair shop will learn something important about their build process from what they find in her ductwork.

Hey, while you're there, could you maybe ask them whether JC did the interior mods on this trailer? We love what these folks did with their living space. Two different articles, same folks, same trailer:

http://www.businessinsider.com/a-tec...er-2015-3?op=1

Best wishes for a happy conclusion to the repairs tomorrow!

Brian,
Lucy looks great Love the Awning colors.
Vents are impressive, do they need to be installed at the factory or dealers or can they be do-it -yourself?

Someone here on Airforums has already done the vents himself.

Lucy's air conditioning duck has been fixed. The technician removed the air conditioning unit from Lucy's roof. He found that a piece of insulation had fallen into the duct that feeds air to the forward street side ducts.

Now all of Lucy's ducts are operational.

Thanks for the duct information. Hopefully that's all that's wrong with mine.

Do the ACs in the newer Airstreams use the drain cups vs the drain pan? Did you happen to notice?

Glad the fix was easy and they didn't have to tear out the interior ceiling panels.

Airstream has been using the Dometic drain cup system for several years on new trailers.

Thanks for the update, much appreciated - "Sounds like the easy button" for a tech anyway. Have a great trip.

Don't they test systems at all before they leave the factory?

Good catch, Lew. That duck didn't care for getting fixed at all. That's what I get for posting from my phone. The spell check changes all kinds of stuff.

Actually should have been caught by the set up dealer. But everything is done by people, so stuff happens.
