Exclamation ULSD - Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel Fuel

Sooner or later your diesel tow vehicle will run on ULSD fuel…

It’s required in CA. now... and in other states by 12-01-10.
See implementation schedule:

Many issues and questions will arise…
2007 diesels require ULSD; models up to 2006 run on LSD or ULSD.
Wiser to buy 2006 model to keep fuel options open when traveling?
...or go with the gas burner? See "Gas vs. Diesel" thread:

Complex issues related to ULSD and tow vehicles exist.
What are your concerns, questions, and experiences regarding ULSD?

How well is your diesel running with ULSD?
Are you adding any additives, prayers, chants, etc.?
... or perhaps restaurant oil?

I just got started on the search for answers! I am running a '97 7.3 PSD (keep on strokin' ) my truck is/was low mileage so I plan on running it for another 10 years. I am beginning to believe I may need an addtive or run a bio mix if available. I am planning on making my own bio in the next several years so it may become a non issue. Currently bio is not readily available where I live or travel. If anybody can get current "real" information of the affect of the ULSD on early model PSD's let me have 'em! I have run B20+ and the truck seems to like it. I am going to be fitting larger tanks in the near future, so when I get the opportunity to fill up with homemade bio, or find a station that sells bio I will be set for 1200 miles or so of driving.

Since over 99% of the diesels sold in the US are not subject to CAFE WHO CARE!!
