New Airstreamers Headed To Vegas!

Hi All,
We'll be taking a road trip next Saturday from Cincinnati to Las Vegas (well, Pahrump, NV) in our Honda Ridgeline to pick up our very first Airstream, a 2006 Bambi Int'l CCD 19'. Never having owned one before, I'm open to any suggestions and advice on what to take with us, aside from basic bedding, to make the trip back in 5 days...we'll be camping along the way.

The dealer is supposed to have everything serviced and ready to go, and I think we're going to stop for a night or two in Sedona, Az, but aside from that, suggestions would be welcome for places to stop east of Flagstaff through OK. City and up to St. Louis.

I know this is kind of general, and opens up a lot to cover, but I'm hoping a suggestion or two here will keep me from forgetting something critical. Thanks for the advice in advance, and I'm sure we'll have a million other questions as we become new owners...

Cheers,
Tom

There are lots of threads on here that cover the lists of things that folks pack to go camping.
May I suggest that you request to spend the first night at the dealership or nearby for the first night and use all of your appliances and systems so that you can figure out if they really do work correctly before leaving the dealership. That way you can learn the systems before you leave too. Most dealerships that are doing good work will be happy to oblige you, and lend you a power cord to do so in their lot or near the building.
Good luck! Look us up when you have time. There are lots of Ohioans on the informal OH thread that would love to meet you this camping season. The first rally is the OH TAC rally in April. It is on the rally calendar.

A great idea to spend the night at the dealer's lot if you can. If not, Terrible's Lakeside RV Park is a couple miles out of town (Pahrump). It is a very nice park with a small casino/restaurant/bar etc. Spend the night or two there. Operate every item in your new Airstream to be sure all is working well. Enjoy your Airstream. This time of the year you never know about "Old Man Winter," at high elevation snow is not uncommon. If snow is in your path head south for warmer temps.
