Never know what you'll find...

We've been camping at Lake Pemaquid in Maine this weekend at an NEU rally. DW and I went on an excursion yesterday to take in a few sights we wanted to visit like the Oyster Middens, the Lake Pemaquid lighthouse (perfect day for that yesterday!!!) Morse's Saurkraut for lunch and a fascinating local site in Waldeboro, ME of the Recycle Sculptor.

It's in the middle of nowhere in a stretch of 32. You just pull over and walk on to the family's yard to see hundreds of amazing sculptures created from "iron trash". It's completely fascinating. But as we're walking through admiring all the works - way off in the backyard - maybe 1/2 mile in - we spot an Airstream. Ghost numbers and all - it's clearly been sitting for a while.

In our way out - the son of the sculptor (who sadly passed last year) is with his son on a funky golf cart. So we stop to talk and learn about the history of the sculptures and I have to ask about the Airstream in the back. He says his grandfather (or was it great grandfather?) was president of a Pennsylvania unit back in the day and that's the history behind it.

Here's a couple pictures of the trailer and one with Daisy and an alien 😃
