Ah, neighbours. Bless them - they keep our "people skills" from getting rusty.
Mr. Toad, my guess is that the far neighbour doesn't like your immediate neighbour's trailer any more than he likes your Airstream. He is just using yours as an indirect means of letting your immediate neighbour know that he disapproves of parked trailers in general, given that they have known each other for years and a direct approach may not be in his nature.
If you are complying with the bylaws, party on and try to ignore the far neighbour's distress over the parked trailers. Thankfully, it seems like the ear he will bend won't be yours, but you may want to do something nice for your immediate neighbour for taking the flak.

What a lovely and pragmatic way of looking at it. You are surely a real diplomat, Alumination. Yes, near neighbor is a stalwart gent and will be rewarded in due course. Indeed, as we allow him access to his winter storage across our property, our debt is part repaid.

I'm guessing the regulation would evaporate pretty quickly if they couldn't discriminate between the two.

I think that the near neighbor made up the whole story, based on his jealousy... YOU have an Airstream, and he, sadly, SOB!!!

Couple of 6-pax. Put the awning out. Some old ragged lawn chairs and you and the good neighbor can relax and enjoy.

That's what good neighbors do.

Maybe you can store a few for Airstreamers who can't park in their driveways.
