Need RV Park in Austin TX

Does anyone have a suggestion for a RV park for a couple of days in Austin TX,,, I'd like to be near I-35 about the Roy G Guerrero Park or Lakeshore Park area. Do either of those parks have camping facilites? Anyway, if I can't be exactly there, any Austin suggestions would be welcome. Tnx

Pecan Grove

Hello,

I live in downtown Austin and there are two RV parks across the street from me on Barton Springs Rd called Pecan Grove. This is essentially in the middle between Mopac (Highway 1) and I-35 near Zilker Park. There is another RV Park East of I-35 further down (East) from Baron Springs.

Havent stayed at either of these parks yet, because my Airstream is still being renovated, but will down the rode. Hope this helps.

My Freinds have stayrd st the one in South Austin Near the intersetion of Hwy 71 and I 35 and said it was OK . Austin Lonestar careferee resort. This is in an urban area, 5 minutes from downtoewn but road construction makes it difficult to get in and out.

There is a new one by Lake Travis near the intersection of RR620 and Hudson Bend Road called La Hacienda. It appears to be nice. It is in a more rural area and about 30 minutes west of downtown.

The Pecan Grove is absolutely unique, an RV park surrounded by urbanity. many people say it is The Coolest Trailer Park on the Planet. Hard to get into; almost always fully booked. They have no website, no email and take only cash or cheque.

If you don't need cool another very nice one is Oak Forest, east of town.

I have stayed at both.

Lone Star is smack on I 35 and you will hear it all night.
