Great pictures! We plan to go to New Mexico next fall so I'm taking notes on places to see and stay.

What part of New Mexico you wanna see? I know the state fairly well and provide a list of things to see and do! Assuming, that is, that I don't blank out again.

I think New Mexico is at its best in the fall! You can easily spend a month on a whirl wind tour. Warm days, cool nights, fewer people.
- ride the steam train out of Chama
- Pumpkin Chunkin rally
- Hot air balloon rally
- Sept in the pines rally (I assume its on for next year again)
four stars!

I think Rodney's right: Fall is the best -- even though during the fall I do start getting the heebie-jeebies about the impending winter up here.

Lynn & Rodney,
We are going to the Balloon rally, then plan to send some time in that area before we head back Don't know too much about that area, but we plan to go to Arches & maybe Caynonlands on the way, then the North Rim & maybe Zion & Bryce on the way home. it's all of the smaller places that I' want to know about. We'll have about four-five weeks (depending on the weather).
Thanks for any favorite spot advice!

I'd suggest taking in a good deal of Santa Fe and Albuquerque while you're at the rally. There are also lots of attractions near Santa Fe, but it kind of depends on what kinds of things you're interested in!
