My Storage Strategy this Summer

My wife and I decided to use our TradeWind this summer to explore California's Central Coast, and perhaps Central Valley. So we did some reseach on campgrounds etc, and easy routes along lakes and so on.
We found several RV Resorts in the Pismo Beach area that offer RV Storage at very reasonable prices, like $ 30-35 a month, with full service pickup and delivery for a small fee.
We will take our Airstream to Pismo in June, and leave it there until late summer or fall. Now when we go, we just take the van and pick up the trailer to take it a few miles to the campground, or if gas prices go any higher ( $ 2.39 at the moment) we can take a passenger car to the campground, using their delivery and pickup service. Pismo is a very nice destination, and a great place to spend a few days. It is reasonably close to everything there is to see and do in the central coast area, like Hearst Castle, wine tasting, dunes, beach, sand, ocean etc. It is about 250 miles from my house.
I will bring back the trailer after the season is over, so we can do our usual short weekend hops around our home, and do the yearly maintenence etc.

Sounds like a nice plan. We are going to Pismo over Memorial Day and then on up to Big Sur and back down to Jalama Beach near Lompoc. Rest of summer we'll spend several weekends in local mountains.

Had a great time in Pismo a few years ago, stayed a few days there on a trip down the coastal highway between LA and SF. Probably the most memorable stop on the trip, didn't have an A/S, just a Pontiac Gran Prix from Avis.
