Question

Shane,

Have any storm concerns over the weekend?, probably a good leak test though.

Does the Service Center know your sitting on the pad waiting for them?

What have they told you about getting the crack and floor noise taken care of?

Hope all goes well tomorrow.

Bob

Not much rain over the weekend. Wind was strong Friday....flurries yesterday...Snowing now.

Yes they know I'm here waiting on the floor creak. I emailed Chris about the chipped counter,, but that was after hours. Either way I'm gonna be in the office at 7:00 am. Hopefully I can leave the gloves off and inthe truck when we talk. I sent pictures to Chris's email...but I doubt he looks at his business email during the weekend.

I'm dreading the conversation tomorrow.

They are reasonable people...don't dread it. He very well might check his email over the weekend and will be expecting you. Really, he should be dreading you. Chipping the counter top can happen, but to glue it back without telling you is uncalled for. My guess is the service tech never told anybody what happened.

I have been watching this thread. I see it now has over 6500 hits. I hope Airstream is one of them. I am shocked and sickened everyday I here about all the leaking the newer Airstream owner's are dealing with. The money spent on these AS this is a crime that owners have to deal with this. I hope all turns out good.

Ok ,..here we go!

Not a problem at all! everything was addressed and gonna be fixed. Not even a hesitation at all by Airstream...None. I got worked up for nothing. Man I will sleep better tonight. I don't think anyone could have been treated better than I have!

Time for me to buy some stocks in Thor industries.....seriously. With customer service like this and integrity which means a lot to me......only seems right. This company's solid! If this has any effect on someone on the fence about buying an Airstream,...well my experience should be the straw that broke the camel back.

When I leave this place,....it will be sad....they have earned my respect and praise for the rest of my life...I will always make it known.. Airstream cares about the customer!! That's a fact.

THANK YOU AIRSTREAM

I'm so glad! The spotlight here on your issues can't have hurt.

I am disappointed and absolutely confounded by the lack of quality control at the Airstream factory, be that for new trailers or repaired ones. They have been doing this for 75+ years and should have it down to a science.

Shane, you've been a trooper!

That's a bit like saying that humans should be over things like war and violence and misogyny because we've had centuries+ to get it right, though, Maggie!

Glad it worked out, Shane!

Rather fatalistic....the difference being Airstream could get it right if they chose too, the fact that they haven't and customers have to trek back to the Factory to make it right is what's sad.

Bright side...we don't live in Europe and the trip is shorter.

Well, that was part of the joke, you see...fatalistic, y'know...

While I think it's true that they could and should get their QC processes sorted out, I also think there's something to be said for the kind of company they run. If they did correct their QC, would it remain the company that we love? I envision robots and such taking over... Maybe something in the middle?

Thumbs up

Nothing personal Z, and yes I would still love my Airstream no matter what course they took to improve the build quality.

It's the lack of "took'n" thats depressing.
