No trip to this area would be complete without visits to Mt. Rushmore and the Custer State Park. Also make the evening lighting at Rushmore. We really enjoyed watching the panhandling donkies inside the Custer Park.
We stayed at the Hart Ranch RV near Rapid City, SD for 14 days and made extended trips each day.
Thanx for the pix. We especially like the one of the donkey attack. We were at Custer last June. We spent a whole day looking for the donkey herd, but never did find them. Seeing your photo makes us want to go back again.

We were at Mt Rushmore for 4th of July fireworks. I can not think of a more patriotic experience. It gave us chills. If anyone has the chance to see it, go!!

Great shots...I love it out there...it's been about 28 years since I've been back there...though the mountain is the same, the surrounding area sure seems to have change...you've reminded me how I really need to get back there.
