Mount Magazine State Park,Arkansas

We are going there in a few days. First time visit. Have been to Petit Jean and other AK parks and really enjoyed them.

Has anyone been to Mt. Magazine and how was it? How are the camping facilities? Any sugestions where to go on day trips?

We camped at Mt Magazine in July. Great campground with 18 campsites with full hook ups in a forest. There is great hiking with quite a few trails and one that goes to the top of Mt Magazine where there is a large stone map and marker. We took our bicycles and rode around the park. There is a real nice lodge with an incredible view of the valley below. The lodge has

The lodge has a good restaurant also. The park is remote so everything to see is a good drive down the mountain. We travelled to Paris and toured some wineries nearby.
