Million Dollar Road Trip

Have you all seen this?
https://www.milliondollarroadtrip.com

Here is an article on them:
Small businesses inspire brothers to take an adversiting road trip across the country - pressofAtlanticCity.com

It's obviously inspired by the Million Dollar Homepage.

I have such mixed feelings on this, I don't know if I am jealous or confused at this concept. I just don't understand the value that advertisers get but hey, they are welcome to spend their money how they see fit.

I guess I need to focus on marketing and ad sales a bit more. Maybe approaching some of the suckers advertisers on the trailer is a smart idea!

Andy,

I'm not sure if this is delayed adolescence, self indulgence, over privilege, trust-fund kids, but hell yeah, I'm jealous!

The only time I'd be taking a road trip that long, I fear that it will be when I'm six feet under...

Jonathan

I believe the boys parents live just over a mile down the road from us, 20 miles south of Livingston, MT on Hwy 89 south (35 miles north of Yellowstone Natl Park). We saw the trailer going up and down the road several times earlier in the summer, and they had it parked in a prominent spot in the front yard several times when we drove by.

There was a big article about them in the local Livingston, MT newspaper before they left on their trip, which reported they had signed up their first 2 local advertisers - one was a cigar vendor and the other (as I recall) was a popular local eating establisment called The Pop Stand.

I believe the boys recently graduated from college - maybe didn't have any other good job prospects - and this was probably a good way to see some of the country before setttling down.

We are looking for passionate, creative, interesting, candidates who live in America and are under 35 years old. Candidates must have created and committed to a project. The project can be a business, a non-for profit, or arts related. They must demonstrate their passion and dedication to their project.

What might the age restriction constitute?

Age restriction = nothing if it's not government action, but not cool at all.

Probably because everyone over 35 has already made their fortune.

Back to the subject, what a great idea.

Oh yes that must be it. Advertising road trip sounds like a dream! We'll have to see how they succeed.
