Microwave question

Took delivery on new 2015 FC 28. I ordered with oven instead of microwave. We'd like to buy a microwave now but not sure what power we can run. Will we be able to run 900 watt or should be get smaller? Suggestions along with brands are needed. Help?

Depends what you are using for, at home have 1100 watt micro may be a liitle more. It's biggest amana madei. In trailer have small cheapy from walmart just takes little longer but not much. also much smaller and lighter than large powered micros, as it goes on floor when traveling then set on counter, does not take much room. Even 800 watt geny will run it.

DeltaRon,
I have the convection microwave in my 28. I want an oven. Maybe we could do some swapping? "Let's make a deal" as they say. How wide is your oven?
I've used mine once. The PO said they never used it.

Get the most powerful one you can... hopefully at least 1100 watts. Your AS will do fine with it.
An excellent choice is a convection microwave, and the one we like opens DOWNward like a home oven instead of sideways. It bakes, frys, microwaves, ... it's amazing and easy to learn with a rotary dial for all settings.

Here's a link (and great reviews too): http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-MC11H6...sung+microwave

Your plans were the same as mine...built in gas oven, and buy a micro to put on the counter. I found a small silver Micro from Lowes, we took it on one trip. It was too big for my liking sitting on the counter, and I we hardly ever used it. I donated it to goodwill in December. We've learned to reheat most things using a Lodge frying pan. It takes 5 minutes instead of 1 minute.

There is no right answer - just whatever works for you. Best of luck.
