Great campground at Sauble Beach with its 7 miles of white sand. Carson's Campground has all amenities and you can walk to the beach. You can then travel highway 21 south to make your way toward Sarnia & Port Huron. The views are wonderful right around the lake with lots of areas to stop and enjoy. Have a safe journey.

Plus, there is a great provincial park on Lake Huron near Grand Bend called "The Pinery" if you have time and can get in. Wr used to live for four years nearby at Sarnia on the Canadian side across from Port Huron, Michigan.

We have traveled up the west side of Michigan and currently in Petoskey but leaving tomorrow for the Mackinaw City area. From there we are making our way to Madison. This part of Michigan is beautiful. We have found the State Parks are more expensive than other States we have visited. Fuel prices are soaring. Diesel today is 3.69 and we were paying 3.12 a week ago in Indiana.

All the suggestions listed have been great for us. We visited Whitefish Point (Shipwreck Museum) and Tahquamenon Falls today. Yes, the mesquotes at the lower falls were out in full force. The SOO locks were great as was our trip over to Mackinac Island. Great hambugers at Clyde's in St. Ignace.

So glad you enjoyed your UPer activities! Are you still eating fudge from the island?
