Smile Michigan to NOLA Trip--Advice needed

We've decided to return to our dear favorite place, N(ew)O(rleans) LA for next April's French Quarter Fest roughly taking 69 to 65 to 59 to Abita Springs, LA (our base in LA). Hoping for advice on places in between to camp, we'd like to stick close to the main routes, but on the way home we may have more time to wander. Food stops would be great news too! Thanks for any thoughts/advice!

We may be too far east for you as you pass through Missouri on 65 and you say that you want to stick close to main routes, but we are just off Hwy 63 in mid-Missouri and we'd love to share an April evening with you. And maybe a wee bit of beverage as well We too love NOLA, but haven't been there for a long time. We don't have a fancy place, but you would be welcome to use our 30 amp electric and we have a long water hose. Not resort standards, but the price is right! We haven't yet figured out the black tank issue for overnighting You might even relax with a fishing line in our little pond. Just an offer to forum friends ~G

Smile Thanks for the invitation!

Georgia, thank you for your gracious offer of a shared evening! How sweet! We'd love to meet you all. As we work out more details of the trip down and back I'll be sure to pm you.
