Has anyone taken an Airstream up the long dirt road to Ah-Di-Nah & The Nature Conservancy recently? I found the old thread & spoke with ZugBug about his bold tows up there several years ago. We're looking for anyone with current knowledge of the road and/or who understands Airstream clearance margins. We're assuming that government budget woes have done nothing to maintain/improve the road. The federal campground website & snarly ranger who answered the phone up there said - Trailers Not Advised... But Ranger it's an *Airstream* not a trailer?!? In all honesty we're talking about a modern 16-19' AS & TV-Dodge 1500 4x4. Any advise or input would be appreciated!

I find that asking any official for the ability to get through a dirt road with a trailer always results in a 'no'. No point trying. I end up asking whether the road is passable in a sedan with good clearance and a driver used to dirt roads, that has a better chance of resulting in a usable answer, if they actually know the road conditions.
