Maiden Voyage to Sycamore Canyon

We took our new 2005 19’ CCD out for its first trip this past Sunday-Wednesday. We went to Sycamore Canyon Campground. Part of Pt. Mugu State park here in Southern California.

Pt. Mugu

All went well and we tested all the systems and they all worked great. We did have a few I/O errors (Idiot Operator) like not knowing that the city water hook up if different than the fresh water tank fill valve. We were wondering why it took so long to fill.

We have a new list of things we want to add to our packing list and some questions I’m sure I’ll be posting soon.

Here are some pictures if anyone is interested:

Beautiful photos, I need to try to get out west one of the days the view is magnificent. I never been west of Nevada, California has got to be on my long voyage plans. We don't get any cliff or mountain views down here in Florida. Congratulations on your successful maiden voyage.

Brad.

Congratulations on the new AS and your maiden voyage. Since we were new to hard-sided camping, each one of our trips got better.

I made a simular mistake when I hooked up the hose to what I thought was the black tank flush. I had actullay hooked it up to the city water inlet. Needless to say, I thought that there was something wrong with our BT flush system. Fortunately, I found the problem myself, so my integrety was only slightly damaged.

We've gotten to the point where we have a system of set-up and tear down and it is second nature.

Great photos. Love those bunnies.

You will have lots of company here if you have ???? or !!!!

Best wishes.

Jonathan

Brad ... congrats on the new Bambi.

Nice pics ... especially the shot of Thornhill Bloom State Beach and Pt. Mugu.

Good to see you have a Weber Q!
