Maiden Voyage Completed!

We took the AS out for it's maiden voyage last weekend to beat the heat wave that slammed the SAcramento Valley with temps around 108 degrees!

We called up some friends and headed West...sort of winging it regarding reservations but hoped for the best since it was grad weekend, figuring people had other plans.

It worked!!! We rolled into a spot at Ocean Cove Park on Saturday around noon and had a complete ocean view and were literally a stones throw to the water! This particular park has no hookups so I'm sure those who are modern convenience dependent would skip it alltogether anyway. We thought it was awesome!

We learned some stuff and started our list of must-haves and lessons learned. Also need to take the AS in for a leaking shower head. Boo!

The Tundra pulled our 23' International Sig on like it was nothing. Steep and twisty roads on the PAcific Coast Highway just weren't an issue. We even had some wind adivsory areas on the way prob! Now I just need to order up some racks for the kayaks and bikes so we can bring all our toys.

Can't wait for trips #2 thru #2,000!
