We've been staying in the park unitil dark (9:00 PM). By the time we get back to town everything is closed, so we've been eating back at Lucy. There are two nice little grocery stores in town that are open late. They are both on Madison Avenue about two blocks apart. The Grizzly is at the south end of Electric Street. Here are a few photos of the park.
Thanks so much for your reporting on Grizzley RV park. It looks great for our needs. Our friends in their SOB will have to "rough it" on the grass and gravel.

We look forward to your reporting on Glacier as that is our stop in 3 weeks before we head for Yellowstone.

How do you like cooking inside Lucy? Is it nice and cozy for dinners? Do you eat in much? Just curious what the overall experience is like.

mwinter, We just got our Airstream Life Magazine. You should get this issue if you don't have one. If you have read the issue you noticed the stories and e mail addresses of people that are living in their Airstreams.

I am sure the stories would be of interest to you and you could get additional info from the people who are "living" and working in their Airstreams. NEAT.

We eat meals inside Lucy almost all the time while traveling. We find it very comfortable and much more relaxing than going out to eat. We do cook some in Lucy, but we more often either nuke a Stouffer's dinner or bring in some take-out.

Day 15 - May 28, 2007

We toured the Tower-Roosevelt Section of Yellowstone today. We had a pleasant suprise on the wat. We were passing through Norris Junction when SuEllyn spotted a Cow Moose and her Yearling! We were able to get a few Photos before they diappeared back into the woods. We went on to Tower-Roosevelt and toured that area, and took a few pictures of the points of interest. Of particular interest was the petrified redwood tree from Subtropical Yellowstone. This tree is 50 million years old and dates to Eocine Times when a massive volcanic eruption burried this tree in ash preserving it for all time. We returned to Norris Junction on our way back the the campground and, sure enough, we saw what we think were the same two Moose that we had seen earlier in the day. We were able to get a few decent pictures before darkness fell. All of a sudden, it started snowing quite hard. As we pulled back on the roadway, the two Moose crossed the road directly in front of Olivia.

Great snaps Brian!

Moose facts-
Moose are not normally aggressive, however, they can be very aggressive when hungry, tired or harassed by people, dogs, and traffic (sounds familiar!). During the mating season bull moose are often more aggressive toward people. Mothers with young calves are very protective and will attack humans who come too close.
You can identify when a moose might attack if the long hairs on its hump are raised and it's ears laid back. A moose may also lick its lips.
Charges may only be "bluffs", warning you to get back, however take this seriously, even a young calf could cause significant injuries from it's size alone. When a moose does charge, it often kicks forward with its front hooves. Unlike other animals, such as dogs and bears, it's usually a good idea to run from a moose because they won't chase you very far.

I am loving the trip reports, first thing I look at in the mornings over coffee. Make sure and take espically good notes on your way north to Glacier. That is all new ground for me and I will be counting on you to get the skinny. Hope the trip continues to be fun.

I just found this thread and I am LOVING it! Thanks so much for the pictures and details of your adventure. We are planning our trip from SoCal to MN and you info is invaluable. Also, what phone card are you using? (Seems to really have great service!)

I assume that you are talking about our internet service. We use a service provided by Alltel, our cell phone provider. It is called Axcess Mobilelink and uses one our cell phones connected to our laptop to access the internet. This service costs us $25/mo for unlimited use anywhere in the country. This system works anywhere that you can get a cell signal, even while moving in the car. It has worked out great for us in our Airstream travels. We are very satisfied with this service. I'm sure that a similar plan is offered by other national cell providers.
