I will. That's my job, to just surrender. We had the 2005 25FB for eight years and 1,400 nights. I think that SuEllyn misses Old Lucy.

Well... I can see what's in your future... a trade-in at Sutton RV and a shakedown cruise back to Florida with a stopover at Jackson Center for fine-tuning and servicing under warranty.

Congratulations, early!

If not at Sutton, probably somewhere. I am leaving the subject alone.

We are still in Eugene, Oregon. We slept in this morning and just took it easy. This afternoon we went over to SuEllyn's cousin's house. We went with her on a tour of the Umpqua National Forest south of Eugene.

We returned to Eugene and had a great pork chop dinner at Mickie and Rick's house. We went back to Lucy and started getting her ready to head out in the morning.

Lucy broke camp in Eugene this morning and made her way north to Portland, Oregon along I-5. At Portland, we turn east and headed out on the Historic Columbia River Highway or Historic US 30 that traces the Columbia River through Columbia Gorge. It was built between 1913 and 1922 from Troutdale to The Dalles, Oregon. It covers about 75 miles and is designated a Civil Engineer Landmark by the American Society of Civil Engineers. It is probably one of the most scenic drives in the United States, albeit a bit difficult for Fred and the Girls to negotiate easily. It is a very winding road with both up and down grades in excess of 10%.

Everyone made it through without a scratch, and we saw some really great scenery including a number of significant waterfalls.

We had hoped to get a campsite in Rufus, Oregon, but that didn't work out. We ended up at a campground in Arlington, Oregon well after dark.

We broke camp this morning in Arlington, Oregon and headed out across eastern Oregon. Like Washington, eastern Oregon has a desert or semi-arid terrain. It was a nice trip, and we covered almost 300 miles and made it into Idaho late in the day.

We made a stop today at the Pilot Truck Plaza in Stanfeild, Oregon. They had two interesting features that were firsts for us at any truck plaza. They had a full hook-up campground with 75 campsites. They also has a separate natural gas vehicle filling station.

We continued on to Nampa, Idaho, where we got Lucy a campsite for the night.

No, not this trip. We have to save something for future trips. If we saw everything on one trip, we would have to sell the Airstream and go to the nursing home.

We broke camp in Nampa this morning and headed out across Idaho to the Craters of the Moon National Monument near Arco, Idaho. This is the site of volcanic eruptions about 2,000 years ago that left an area of about 400,000 acres covered with lava flows of various configurations. We spent several hours touring the Park. It was like nothing we had ever seen before. It was like being on another planet. We took a couple of the hikes in the Park and climbed the Inferno Cone.

As dusk closed in on us, we continued to Arco, Idaho and got a nice campsite for Lucy at the KOA Campground.

We broke camp this morning in Arco, Idaho, and headed east toward Wyoming. The route took us through the area where the Idaho National Laboratory (formerly, The National Nuclear Reactor Testing Station) is located. There is still a lot of government activity in the area.

We visited the town of Atomic City, Idaho, which had been at the center of the government testing facilities in 1950, is now all but a ghost town. It's now a sad little place with a population of about 25 people.

We continued through the Idaho desert to Idaho Falls, where the terrain makes a sudden change into somewhat lush farm and ranch land. We stopped for lunch in Idaho Falls and looked around for a while.

We then continued east into the Grand Teton Mountains. We went through the Grand Teton Pass on Idaho 33 and Wyoming 22. This portion of the trip included very windy mountain road with severe downgrades and upgrades. Fred and the girls made it through just fine. The average speed through the mountain pass was about 35 MPH.

We arrived in Jackson, Wyoming at 4:00 PM and got Lucy a nice campsite at the Virginian RV Park in town. After we got Lucy settled in, we made a short run into Grand Teton National Park to look for Mooses. We didn't spot any, but will try again tomorrow.

Lucy is camped in Jackson, Wyoming. Today we set out and toured Grand Teton National Park, which is just south of Yellowstone. The Moosing was pretty good. We had three sightings today. The scenery was spectacular. The Grand Tetons are probably the most picturesque mountains in this country. The lakes in the Park are very nice also.

We got to mail our Moose Tag orders today from the US Post Office in Moose, Wyoming 83012

We got back to Lucy before dark, and settled in for the night. It is supposed to get down into the thirties tonight.

As to the ducted air conditioning on the 2015 25FB, it is like night and day. We sat with the salesman at Sutton's in the 2015 25FB for about an hour on Monday afternoon with the air conditioner running. We could hold a normal tone conversation and did not even notice that the air conditioner was running.

We got to mail our Moose Tag orders today from the US Post Office in Moose, Wyoming 83012

We got back to Lucy before dark, and settled in for the night. It is supposed to get down into the thirties tonight.

Great day of "Moosing." We have seen 3 in a day but it was a momma and her two babies. Had I know youn were going to Moose I would have ordered more Moose Tags just to get the postmark.

Hi Dan and Irene,

One of the main Moosing roads here in Grand Teton is closed due to Grizzly Bear activity. We are breaking camp this morning and heading over to the Bighorn National Forest near Buffalo, Wyoming. We will continue Moosing there.
