Brian,
Thanks for the posts and being my surrogate for a long trip with our trailer.
But (Post 261), "Rent a Tire"? That's stranger than the structure in the first photo—obviously done by an architect who spent a lot of time in a Colorado dispensary. It made sense at the time.

Rental Tires was also a new one on me. This sign was seen in Bryan, Texas. Maybe it's a local thing.

They have something like this back our way called "Rent a Wheel". It is a business that caters to inner city folks who want to spice up the hoopty for the weekend........

I just remembered, I used to know a guy who bought worn tires, spray painted them a shiny black and sold them to people who couldn't afford new or even good tires. Renting them seems a bad business plan though—what if someone uses them to do wheelies, panic stops and drag races. Maybe he measures the tread wear and charges accordingly.
