I can imagine. I hope you don't crush too many cars while driving around.
What's next—mooses, the Olympic Pen., coast highway, Mt. St. Helens, Oregon….
Not ever having been in Seattle (closest was driving down an interstate east of the city), I understand there's the Pike St. Market to see. Market Spice tea has a booth there and sells a cinnamon/orange tea that I think is wonderful. Been drinking it for years. Got plenty of caffeine for those days when you want to get going before the crack of noon (we average at 10:30 am).

It's Funny that you should mention the Pike Street Market. We spent half of the day there today. Seattle is a super neat place. You should check it out next time you pass this way.
From here we are going down to Olympia for a few days. From there we will explore the Olympic Peninsular. Stay tuned.

We are still in Seattle, Washington today. We spent most of the day checking out the Seattle Public Market. It is a downtown open marketplace that first opened at this location on August 17, 1907. It overlooks Elliot Bay in Puget Sound. The Public Market is a loud and colorful place with literally hundreds of small vendors selling virtually anything you could imagine. There are a lot of venders selling fresh fish, meat, vegetables, baked goods, and flowers. There also venders selling art, clothing, souvenirs, trinkets, and leather goods. This is a place that you definitely need to see if you are ever in Seattle.
After we left the Market, we drove out to West Point Lighthouse on Puget Sound north of downtown. On the way out there we got some great pictures of Downtown Seattle from a high bluff. While we were at the Lighthouse, we got some amazing photos of Mount Rainier in the distance.
We ate dinner out before coming back to Lucy just before dark.

We broke camp in Seattle this morning, and headed south through Tacoma and into Olympia, Washington. Lucy has made camp in Olympia at the Washington Land Yacht Harbor which is a campground for Airstreams only operated by the local chapter of the WBCCI.
We got settled in early enough to make a Wal-Mart run and get some of the world's best chicken from Popeye's. There are a number of Popeye's in this area. These are the first we have seen in over a month. In our opinion, all other chicken pales in comparison. We, therefore, had Popeye's for supper and will probably have it again tomorrow.
After supper, there was still enough daylight to go into downtown Olympia and have a look around. We went to see the State Capitol Building and visited Tumwater Falls.
We got back to Lucy a little after dark.

While we were camped at the Trailer Inns RV Park in Bellevue, Washington we noticed something quite unusual. There were a total of five Airstreams, including Lucy, that were camped there at the same time. Other than at an Airstream Rally, we had never seen so many Airstreams at the same campground. None of the Airstreams were together.
The first picture is of a brand new 2015 Flying Cloud 25 Rear Bedroom that had been picked up from the dealer in Seattle that morning. The next morning we got a tour of the 2015 from the proud new owners.

Lucy is still camped in Olympia. We took off this morning in Fred and Ethel to explore Mount Rainier National Park. The Park is about an hour's drive from Olympia. On the way we stopped for lunch at a little Pizza Place in a railroad car in Elbe, Washington. We didn't expect much in the middle nowhere, but we were treated to some of the best pizza that we had ever had. They make pizza by the slice from scratch to order. It took about 30 minutes, but it was really good. The whole town of Elbe is railroad themed, and has a train ride that tours Mount Rainier. They even have a motel made up of antique railroad cabooses.
We went on to the National Park. We were somewhat disappointed at how crowded it was. There were no parking spots at the Visitors' Center. While SuEllyn went in to get information, I had to drive around the parking lot. We still had a good time and got some great views of Mount Rainier.
We drove back to Olympia and got back to Lucy for supper.

As is my habit, I will wait to make recommendations about what to see after you have left the area. I will not mention Griot's Garage in Tacoma (they sell lots of car stuff and have a number of very expensive cars on display), Gig Harbor (wonderful harbor and nice town north of Tacoma), campground on an Indian Res. (can't remember the name but they filmed vampire movies there) off main highway on west side of Olympic Pen., on ocean.

Thanks Gene, but I didn't see this until after our tour of Tacoma.

Lucy is still camped in Olympia. We drove up to Tacoma to have a look around. We toured downtown Tacoma and drove along Puget Sound.
We also visited Steilacoom, Washington on the way up to Tacoma.
We came back to Lucy early to start preparing her for tomorrow's departure.

We got Lucy all packed up in Olympia this morning and headed south. We crossed into Oregon before Noon and continued south through Portland to Eugene, Oregon, where we will be spending the next few days visiting with SuEllyn's cousin, Mickie, and her husband, Rick.
After we got to the campground here in Eugene, We got some Moose Tags shipped at the Post Office, and we went by the local Airstream Dealer here to browse the new 2015 models.
We went and had a visit with SuEllyn's cousin, before returning to Lucy to settle in for the night.

Hi, you drove right past my new house. [in Salem] George Sutton RV [Airstream dealer] is also in Eugene, if you need something.

We were by Sutton 's yesterday. SuEllyn wanted to hear the new ducted a/c system. She's thinking hard about going back to a 25FB.

Lucy is camped at a very nice campground in Eugene. We spent the morning relaxing and doing some housework. We then went over to the local UPS Service Center where we shipped Lucy's broken hitch back to the manufacturer in Michigan. We had been lugging that thing around for the past week. We were sure glad to get rid that 100 pound box.
This afternoon we went over to SuEllyn's Cousin's house. We visited and were able to do some laundry. SuEllyn's Cousin took over to her neighbor's shop where he builds guitars from scratch. It was a very interesting tour.
We went out for a nice dinner with SuEllyn's Cousin and her husband.

When you mentioned you went by the AS dealer, my thought was the 23FB might not be working out.. Then you mentioned a 25FB might be in your future..
We haven't been in our 23FB for more than 10 days. So far so good, but once I retire, I'm planning on much, much longer trips.
Besides the fact that you have a TV that will pull anything. I'd have to switch TVs to be able to pull a 25FB..
Still enjoying your trip! By the way, did the ducted AC seem any better? Quieter?
Thx
Jeff

Hi Sidney,
We are camped at the Deerwood RV Park in Eugene, Oregon. It is right off Exit 188 on I-5. It is far enough off that it is very wooded and quiet. We are about five miles southeast of downtown Eugene. We have camped here before as it is only four miles from SuEllyn's Cousin's house.

Whether New Lucy is working out depends on who you ask. I think that she is just great. On the other hand, SuEllyn doesn't care for New Lucy's traffic flow, and she especially doesn't like the "jet engine" air conditioner. She can't fathom why it is so much louder than Old Lucy's.
As to the ducted air conditioning on the 2015 25FB, it is like night and day. We sat with the salesman at Sutton's in the 2015 25FB for about an hour on Monday afternoon with the air conditioner running. We could hold a normal tone conversation and did not even notice that the air conditioner was running.
