Lucy's 2018 Western Adventure
Hello Everyone. It's that time again. Lucy is about ready to head out west for yet another great Adventure. There is a new player this year. Lucy's new towmate is Lillian. Lillian is a 2018 Silverado 2500 that joined the family last October.
The girls are in the final preparation stages, and everything is just about ready. We will depart tomorrow morning, hoping to be wheels up before the crack of noon.
Here is a shot of the girls getting ready to go.

PLEASE...keep the shiny side UP and the wheels DOWN on the pavement...Airstreams tow MUCH easier in that particular orientation....(grin!)
As an individual that it TOTALLY allergic to morning, the "crack of noon" sounds like an absolutely reasonable start time...do drive carefully, and keep us posted on the adventure...

Looking forward to riding along!
We will be departing for Oregon next Thursday. After International we are going to play tourist at Crater Lake, along the OR coastline, over to Glacier, Yellowstone, and Jackson and then head home. We are NOT packed and ready to go but Silvie has new axles, disc brakes, and a repaired CS Rear stabilizer jack so she is at least mechanically ready to go. Missy has made some improvements in our inside storage so things should go more smoothly.

Looking forward to following. We did our first to the west last year and much of our trip came from tips in your travels. Now we know we need to go back many times. Thanks again and I hope you have a safe peaceful road trip.

Like your pickup camper/topper -- what is the brand/website for those please? Fighting the tool chest blues and how to organize, and keep secure, all the support gear that we don't need, compressors, wrenches, gensets, ladder, etc.

Lucy is once again on the road exploring the highways and byways of this great country. We departed Santa Rosa Beach this morning. We actually got rolling at about 9:30 which is really early for us. We made our way through the remainder of the Florida Panhandle and into Alabama. We passed through Mobile and onto the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We rolled into the New Orleans area late this afternoon. Lucy made her way across New Orleans in Friday Afternoon rush hour traffic. We got to our campsite at Bayou Segnette State Park in Westwego, Louisiana at about 5:30.
After we made camp, we went over to our son and daughter-in law's house in Algiers for supper and a visit. We came back to Lucy well after dark.
Tonight's Pictures Include:
- Lucy's cleaning crew getting her ready for departure.
- Lucy is ready to pull out.
- Blue Angels on the expressway overpasses in Pensacola.
- The World War II USS Alabama in Mobile.
- Downtown Mobile Skyline.
- Mobile Tunnel.
- Crossing the Industrial Canal in New Orleans.
- Downtown New Orleans Skyline.
- Lucy settled into her campsite in Westwego.
