Thank you so much for sharing your trip!

We were on a 2100 mile virgin outing with our 25' FC the last month of your adventure and felt better knowing you 2 were only a forum post away for any questions.

Appreciated tagging along on your trip

I enjoyed following your trip on this forum. Happened across the Airstream forum by accident and picked out your posting because the title caught my eye as I too want to take a trip west one day towing an airstream. I was even more surprised to learn that you were also from the Santa Rosa Beach area. I plan retire in a couple months as does my fiancee and we are determined to get an Airstream and take a trip out west soon afterwards. As someone new to this I've learned a lot just by
following your posts and reading others. Maybe one day I'll get the opportunity to meet you and pick your brain in person. Thanks for sharing the trip commentary and picture - it makes me even more convinced that I need to do this.

81 days is a lot of days—we were gone 56 or 58 in 2010 and that was at my limit. After that I would have needed meds. So congratulations for staying sane in a tin box for more than 11 weeks. In trying to imagine your trip on a map, I have in my head a long, long piece of spaghetti all over the west. Glad we could meet. Waiting for the next excursion.

I'm glad that you enjoyed our trip. We would be glad to share our Airstreaming experience with you. I retired from the US Customs Service in Panama City in 2002. We have been Airteaming for about ten years now, and have over 1,700 Airstream nights under our belt.

Shoot me a PM and I'll send you an email and cell.

Brian

Hi Gene,

You are correct, we did go back and forth quite a bit, but that's what an Airstream is for, isn't it?

81 days is not our longest Airstream adventure. We did 96 days several years back. I guess we need to break a hundred.

We also enjoyed visiting with you and Barbara. We will have to do that again.

Brian
