Looking for a spot in Arkansas

Hi gang!
I just started a long term work assignment in North Central Arkansas. I'm looking for a good park somewhere north of Conway near Clinton to park my 28' Safari. Any feedback about parks in that area would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome, buzzkat!

And yes, GEAUX TIGERS!!!! (I'm an LSU alum)

I don't know of any parks in that area, but welcome to Arkansas! We're about half an hour south of Little Rock if we can help with anything. Gene at Airstream of Arkansas might be able to help you out with park knowledge. I am sure he'll chime in here in a bit.

Welsh - that's down around Lake Charles area, isn't it? I used to live in Lake Chuck back in the 80's.

If your assignment is anywhere near Harrison, there is a park just north of town and one just south. We always check them out for Airstreams on our trips to Mountain View and they look pretty nice, but I don't recall their names. If your assignment is further south, you might want to check out Mountain View. There are several good ones there, two being Mountain View RV Park and Ozark RV Park. Both are listed in Woodall's, but the ones in Harrison aren't. We always stay at MV RV Park as the owners (Malcolm and Jacque) are extremely nice people and very helpful and accomodating. Hope this helps. Feel free to PM me if you like.

Thanks for the good info folks. I actually bought our trailer, nicknamed "Eh Boux" (say Ay Boo), from Airstream of Arkansas. I'll give them a call for recommendations. I'll let y'all know where I end up so you can stop by for some gumbo and a little "chanky chank" Cajun foot-stomp. Ayyyieeeee...

EhBoux has landed...

Hi y'all,
I found a nice spot up in Arkansas! Golden Pond RV park on Hwy. 330 east of Clinton near Fairfield Bay. Clean, quiet, and well managed by John and Kim Watson, real nice folks. Stop by and visit if you're passing by. I'm the Safari way in the back with the LSU flag draped on the front.
