Looking for Recomendations for overnight pakring in Rapid City SD and Waterloo Ia.

I am planning an extensive trip to Wv from Western Montana the last week of September and first two weeks of October. Can anyone suggest a place for a free overnight stop in both Rapid City, SD and Waterloo, IA?

I assume you are looking for sites other than campgrounds since you asked about overnight parking.
Cabellas in Rapid City is very welcoming to overnight parking, not sure about multiple nights. We have stayed there one night.
Near Waterloo, we can offer courtesy parking, see PM I sent.

Americas Mailboxes campground. Same exit as Cabellas. If only overnight ask for a power only spot. Last I checked they were like $15. Other than Cabellas I don't know of any other free spots. Next spot that is next to free is at the exit for Wasta at the 24 Express RV Campground. $5 overnight. See my post at https://www.campendium.com/24-express-rv-campground

Waterloo IA has George Wyth State Park and also. Camping World as last resort

Do you belong to BPOE. Rapid City Elks has spots + the parking lot. Great place if you are a member
