North Lake in the Catskills has all the above except maybe quiet. Near Haines Falls.
If you want quiet stay away from weekends, holiday weekends and peak season.

Sane area, south lake, near hunter. We went to awesome one by woodstock, quiet, small lake. Also nice one by Altanont. Stayed in Harriman once, Way too busy too close to city. Try Treman up by finger lakes lakes too.

Anyone know anything about Woodland Valley Campground near Phoenicia, NY (Catskills..... west of Kingston, Rt. 28) ? Also near Woodstock.
http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/24501.html
I spent a lot of time in that area as a kid (Lazy Meadows..... I wish they had RV accommodations!!!), but for future travels, I'd love to know of camping spots near there.

Their PDF of the campsite says they allow RVs....

I checked AllStays - there's not much around there... Do you have the AllStays app?

With all the travelling folks here, I was hoping for some real-life reviews.

You might get some real life reviews. Never know who's been where.
AllStays lists these:
http://www.phoeniciacampground.com
Sleepy Hollow campsite (no website listed)
Romer Mountain Park (also no website)
http://unclepetescampground.com
Woodland Valley (the link you provided)
And
Kennith L Wilson: http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/24472.html
I've not been to any of them and there's much less info on these campgrounds in the app than most so I'm not sure what that means.
Good luck and happy camping!

Bob - we'll be there for our first time this summer. Can't wait! Any recommendations while there?
Watkins Glen was one of our very first trips! Such great hiking trails! Daisy was in heaven with a snout full of new smells in the woods around the water falls! 😀

We love, love, love the Adirondacks and have stayed many places. I am not sure what type of unit you have? Some of the places are for smaller units, especially in the park. There are places for larger units as well. Once we stayed at Lake Placid KOA once and it was quite nice. Lots of trees and very quiet.

Meacham Lake State Park
We love Meacham Lake State Park in the Adirondacks. It's pretty much just you, large sites, great hiking, biking, eagles, and lake swimming/boating. Boon docking with generators permitted. Very good dining out at Paul Smith's Culinary School (15 min), Saranack Lake (25 min) and Lake Placid (45 min).

New York State Parks
I agree with Bob. I was born in Geneva New York and the Finger Lake regions is beautiful. The Native Americans say that God put his hand on the earth there (Finger Lakes) and I believe that!!

SSM,
Are you planning a trip to Letchworth?
Try the Glen Iris Inn

Lots of good choices given in this thread. It's a big state- might be good to know which part you'll be traveling in.

We stayed at Letchworth and then Robert Treman last year. Letchworth was nice as expected but Robert Treman was a complete surprise. So much so we are going back this year.

We like Rollins Pond State Park. If you want to go that far, it's in Tupper Lake in the Adirondacks. Nice private wooded sites, especially in the A section. Limit on boat motor size.

We stayed at Croton Point Park. It is a Westchester county park and was close to family we were visiting in New Rochelle. But, quiet and right on the Hudson river, yet close to the lovely villages along the river.
