Looking for others to go to Maine & Canada this summer (caravan).
Was not sure where to look for other Airstreamers to get something together.
We are thinking about 4-6 weeks at least leaving in mid-June 2008.
If you know where we should be asking this please let me know.

Sounds like fun! You might make a tentative map/schedule or route and post that as well. Lots of Airstreamers work and can't get that much time off, but could meet up with you and travel a few days along your trip. You might look at the rally schedule to see where fun rallies are being held and try and stop at a few on your route to and from. Check the WBCCI rallies as well as the forum rallies. If you check with a moderator they can probably give you the best suggestion for how to advertise, etc.
We were planning a trip last year from California to New York and got some very nice responses from folks, but we had to cancel because of a death in the family. We hope we can manage again sometime.
Good luck!

The WBCCI Region One Rally is being held in PEI in August. There are a number of caravans heading up to it (my unit has at least 2 and I know that the region is sponsoring 1). We will be traveling through New Brunswick, Novia Scotia and then we'll take the ferry into PEI, returning via the bridge to New Bunswick. Check out the Region One Website for info on the rally.
If joining one of our caravans doesn't appeal to you why not try to attend a NEU rally while you are in our neck of the woods? We love to have company. Check out our events listing at WBCCI New England Unit Airstream Club

Looking for a WBCCI Unit filled with fun loving folks to camp and travel with in the New England area? Well, you've just found it:
No matter how or who you go with stop at Mother's in Antigonish NS on route #104. It may remind you of O Brien's Pub in Mt Pleasent but the food is better.
If you are considering going to New Foundland set at least 3 weeks aside for that part of the trip. Gros Morne Park has some of the most unique geological formation is the world. The earth's mantel broke, at one point in the park, out and has remained exposed for over 550,000,000 years.

The Bluegrass Express, you say? Well then you'll be planning part of your journey around the Blistered Fingers Bluegrass Festival, I imagine? It's in Sidney, Maine, about 1 mile from the highway. Easy on, easy off, but services are best done in Augusta or Waterville, about 8 - 10 miles away, respectively. I am unsure as to who it is who's bringing all those RVs in, but I think it's just participants and performers who camp there for the weekend. AFAIK, no hookups, but I could be wrong.

Summer is a great time of year for a Maine-Canada trip. Keep us all posted on your route. You never know -- folks might want to drop in to say hello.
Thought of heading over to Quebec City for a stopover? Not only is it a fabulous city to visit, but this year is their 400th anniversary, so lots of other things to see and do. MyQuebec2008 - Calendar of Events
I'm going in mid-August, and while I've never been to this campground, I've heard it's pretty good. Camping Transit
Let us know what you're thinking of, particularly in Ontario. Would be nice to say hi to other forum members!

Anybody heading west should definitely take a trip to the Rockies. There are some beautiful campgrounds there...let me know if anyone needs some recommendations.
