Looking for camping around Castaic, CA

Hi,
Heading up through LA on Sunday and will make it as far as Castaic, any suggestion for campgrounds in the area? We'll be traveling with our 7 year old grandson, so looking for a place where he can swim and have some fun before we get back on the road.

There are a group of them there. The closest I've stayed to Castaic is about 20 min. farther up the 5 at Pyramid RV Resort. Exit Smokey Bear Rd. Clean pool and a Mini golf course (all included) Full hookups for around $30.00

Yes, we have courtesy parking for you. About an hour North of Los Angeles.

Valencia Travel Village is near Magic Mountain. Exit 126 and go west about a mile from the 5. It is on the left. They have a kid's pool. Pull through level spots -didn't need to disconnect. It is only about 1500 ft. elevation so summer days are fairly hot.

Thanks for the information on the Castaic area. Tough to tell from the "books" where to stay when traveling with younger kids.

Goin Camping, I noticed you live in Valencia, any reason you didn't recommend the Valencia Travel Villiage?

We're heading up to Pismo Beach from Castaic and planned to take the 126 to the 101, anything I need to know about traveling on the 126? I've never been on that road before.
