Looking for a nice campground near Lakewood NJ?

I need to take my AS for service and would like to try a campground near Colonial AS. I was considering the AS park near Cape May but that's two
hours below Lakewood.

Does anyone have any experience with a nice campground I have been on line trying to find one and most are clustered around the Six Flags park.

I was interested in the NJ State Parks however they do not allow dogs.

Thanks in advance,

Lin.

We have stayed at the Jersey Shore Airstream Haven on both of our trips to Colonial, It is only about 1 hour from Lakewood if you take the Parkway. It is a great place to stay. And they allow dogs. We drove from there to Phily a few days, well worth it for us.

Thank you for the info!

I appreciate all the help! Looking at it from here was very confusing.

Check with Colonial Airstream

They are our dealer and the day we went to pick up our new Airstream we stayed right there on their lot. They have room for about 3 or 4 trailers behind the Sales office and have electric hookups and will fill your water tank. You could stay in your Airstream at night and then let service have it during the day if the nature of your repairs allow it. My guess is there would not be a charge to stay there.

During the day while they are working on it you could head to the beach.

Just a thought.

However I was thinking of trying something new and seeing the sites a bit more do to the time of year, weather etc.
