Long Trip on US 84

Have any of you ever traveled US 84 anywhere between Alabama and New Mexico. Looking for road condition and good campgrounds along the way. Thanks for any help.

I'll be interested as well! Next Sunday I depart from Atlanta to Las Vegas and was planning on taking the southern route (Roue 10). I mapped out using 84 and it adds a few hours overall - no big deal. It may actually be a more interesting route.
