Is anyone familiar with Little Talbot Island SP, near Jacksonville, FL?
We are reserved in there this coming spring.
It was one of those, lets get this trip planned in 5 minutes sessions.
Now that I've given them the $$ I guess I should find out what I'm getting us into..
Seems shaded and "somewhat" private.. (Which is what we like.)

We've never been to this particular park but we've been to a lot of FL state parks and have always been very impressed. FL has the best state parks we've seen. I'm going to look into this one as we have friends near Jacksonville and we like to kayak. I hope someone has more specific information for you.
We went there and tent camped in May 2011 and it is excellent. Very quiet, mostly large shaded sites. Good facilities, a great beach and plenty of marsh and bay to explore with your kayaks. Excellent sites for Class A's and C's Campers too.
We have recently had friends who went there in April of this year. Part of the park was flooded by the major storms we had but they had a great time there. I'm sure that has dried up as we have had a very dry fall here.
I posted some pictures up on the members photo site.
That's a little peace of mind.
We just don't take the time to do the research some times.
I knew if we waited much longer March dates would be gone.
I'm thinking this might be one that works out! Ha
They almost always do, it's just so good to get out and see places we've never been before.
Thanks!
Jeff
We stay annually up the road @ Ft Clinch State Park.
Take a drive up to Fernandina and visit the fort if it's the weekend of a civil war reenactment. Their's also a great boat tour out of Fernandina that takes you around Cumerland Island.
Little Talbot is nice and wooded. Convenient to Jacksonville, the plantation, and the area you can drive out onto the beach.
Ft. Cinch is really big, wooded with two campgrounds, one in the woods and water, one on the ocean, very convenient to Fernandina, which is a nice town to visit.
