Let's Hear It From Buc-ee Fuel Stop Fans!!
If you ever go to Texas, one place to put on your bucket list is any Buc-ee Flagship Car Stops. No, there will be none of the big semi's there because they are not allowed. How about over 100 nozzles of fuel in one location?? Also, they have super wide islands and most have separate islands for fueling RV's. Plan on spending at least an hour on your first visit. Great food, unbelievable selection of goodies, and their own Buc-ee products that you will stock up on. Buc-ee's is definitely the bomb and the absolute best gas station in the entire USA. Check it out-

I'm a Beaver Believer too! The Bastrop and New Braunfels stores are huge! Gas prices are competitive and the pumps are travel trailer friendly.

Must be a regional thing, never heard of them.

I saw them on my way to Robbstown for the 2015 WBCCI Mid-Winter IBT, but didn't stop there because I didn't need fuel at the time. I looked them up online, and it appears that it's very regional, just in the triangle defined by Dallas, Galveston, and San Antonio.

Also Buc-ees fans here. We never pass up a Buc-ees without stopping. They have great food (in fact we'll choose Buc-ees for a meal over any other restaurant nearby), extensive line of camping gear, neat clothes, cleanest restrooms anywhere, convenient and clean dog walk areas with bags to pick up after ... we've never been disappointed with Buc-ees ... and you're right, can't get out of there in under an hour and without dropping plenty $$$$$. But it's a always a great place to plan a stop.

Yep, we're believers too! An hour for your first visit? Maybe two. Even on subsequent visits we spend 30 minutes plus. Only once did we walk in, buy the item we needed and walk out.
Talk about clean bathrooms! Buc-ee's is the best!
The OP mentioned Buc-ee's are in Texas. From what I understand they're specifically along the center part of the state near San Antonio, up to Austin and the surrounding area. Think Walmart and Bass Pro Shops combined with the largest Quick Trip you could imagine.
How about a 10# bag of ice for $0.79. And be sure to take your picture with Buc-ee.
Ooh, ooh! Almost forgot... how about those Buc-ee bites? Mmmmm Good!

Live and die by Buc-ee's when refueling around here in Central Texas. With 35 feet of aluminium and a gas filler almost at the rear driver's side, picking a friendly refuel stop is always a challenge which is well met by Buc-ee (also truck stops but...!)
Best however a small "mom and pop" pumps located alongside the highway with drive in and drive out parallel to the highway. Plus finger licking BBQ often available!

We live 4 miles from the one in Bastrop and have filled our truck there a few times . When the place first opened, they had and maintained nice window wash stations on every fuel island there . The last couple of times we have gone there, all the wash stations have been removed along with all the paper towels.
Does anyone know why ?
At least all the other places in town that sell diesel for the same price still have and maintain theirs.
A shame in that it was very easy to get in and out of . Will return when and if they rectify this problem.

They have good food but no place to set down and eat your food. Got to take it with you and eat it in your RV or vehicle.

Buccees! Yes...
We are not lucky enough to own an Airstream....yet, but live close to two Buccees. You are right about the visits though. We get breakfast on the run from there, breakfast tacos, lunch with huge sandwiches and they have ice close to Sonic ice which I love. Great for when you are going on a road trip with dogs in the car. They also have Lodge cast iron as cheap as i have seen it anywhere. Cute t-shirts and can always find a gift there if you need one one the way to someone. Love our Buccees and it's true the bathrooms are clean!

Lived in the DFW area for 28 years and never had the pleasure of using their facilities. Guess I didn't travel to the right places.

buckeyes is fantastic! Lots of RV friendly parking no tons of gas islands, too many to count. Burritos are large and good. Friendly staff and they keep the restrooms spotlessly clean. It can get very busy on Friday evenings during camping season.
And yes, it's a Texas thing! I just wished they were elsewhere as we missed them traveling in other states.

Stopped at the Buc-ees when we stayed in Bastrop. I thought "Why aren't all rest stops like this!" If you're going through Texas put this on your list. Oh. And the Alamo.

Nice place to stop but no windshield washing stations at the pumps. Delayed getting fuel until I reached the Buc E's but after filling up and finding nothing to clean my bug spattered windshield don't think I'll ever stop at another one.

Don't care about food and trinkets but gas and diesel prices are best to be found by 20, 30 even 40 cents per gallon.

We rarely pass up a stop at Buc-ee's. Even if we don't need gas we stop for the very clean rest rooms. When going to Houston to visit kids/grandkids on I-10 our car is programmed to stop at the Luling Buc-ee's.
