Late Season RV Use

Hello Forum,

I have a 25' 2004 Intl. CCD. I am in my third summer with the unit and have enjoyed taking it all over the Colorado Plateau camping with my family. Living in the Rocky Mountains, I have typically winterized my unit at the end of September and sumerized the unit in late April giving me about a 5-6 month windrow to use the trailer. However, living in Utah, the southern end of the state has an extended camping season due to a generally warmer climate. The nights cool down significantly, but the days are typically sunny and warm.

I have been wondering if it's possible to extend the useage window to early spring and late fall without risking freeze damage at night.

Any thoughts on how to do this?

Regards,

-Tom

Tom,
Welcome to the forums!

I use mine year round in the Carolinas and Virginia (well I was until I tore it apart) Not sure of your tempature extremes where you are. But as long as you have the furnace on you are good down to the mid 20's with minimal preparation. If you don't leave it hooked up you can do what I have done with my popup for years. We would winterize around the first of October and just use it without dewinterizing. We would take bottled water for drinking and use the campground bathhouses.

I am sure other people have their own ways of dealing with colder weather.

Aaron
