Happy to hear that you don't believe everything the Dr's say. Twelve years ago I was told to take mega dose pain pills and stay off my feet, for a condition that had been getting progressively worse. The pain was so bad that I cold hardly stand let alone walk or run. At the time I made my living by running through airports and solving technical problems at client locations. Staying off my feet was not an option. Additional the Dr told me that if I followed his advice there was a 20% chance that I would see 'some' improvement.
At the recommendation of a friend I started using Tea Tree oil on the soles of my feet twice a day. Saw some improvment from day one, slowly got better until I could functin quite well, not pain free but at least liviable. Continued the treatment for 6 months and feel that I have almost complete recovery.
I certainily don't know what will work for you but keep looking as it may be out there. American Doctors are very good but they are not perfect.
