I am not believing everything they say but I know my own body. The condition is getting worse. I went out and spent $140 (on sale) on new shoes a few days ago. That has helped but I am only good for about 6 hours a day. I will be in Jacksonville.

Michelle, if you decide to head south on I-75, you are more than welcome to stop in again, for a few days.

Sorry things aren't working out as planned. But things will work out for the best in the end...and this way maybe you can bring your sister to the Can Opener! It's a straight shot across I-10.

I may be able to make the can opener. If I bring my sister and her kids we will have a full boat! there would be 5 of us. plus the cat.

Michelle,

Happy to hear that you don't believe everything the Dr's say. Twelve years ago I was told to take mega dose pain pills and stay off my feet, for a condition that had been getting progressively worse. The pain was so bad that I cold hardly stand let alone walk or run. At the time I made my living by running through airports and solving technical problems at client locations. Staying off my feet was not an option. Additional the Dr told me that if I followed his advice there was a 20% chance that I would see 'some' improvement. At the recommendation of a friend I started using Tea Tree oil on the soles of my feet twice a day. Saw some improvment from day one, slowly got better until I could functin quite well, not pain free but at least liviable. Continued the treatment for 6 months and feel that I have almost complete recovery. I certainily don't know what will work for you but keep looking as it may be out there. American Doctors are very good but they are not perfect.

Well Michelle, we will have our two boys, ages 11 and 8. I know there will be others with their children as well so bring your sister and her kids and I think everyone will have a great time. I know 5 in an Airstream can seem tight when you are used to it being just you and your furkid, but everyone will be outside most of the time unless it rains, so it will only be crowded when everyone is asleep or eating breakfast.

On the job issue, have you considered working for a technology temp agency? That would give you some flexibility for travel and most of the time the temp jobs lead to a permanent offer. With the economy headed in the direction it seems to be going, I would think there would be a demand for less than full time positions in just about every field. You might also look into job sharing. That might allow you to work half days and not be on your feet so much. There are options other than the theoretical 9-5 and in today's and tomorrow's economy, creativity and flexibility are probably the best assets one can have in employer's eyes.

Same here Michelle.

Looks like you and your sister are needing each other at the same time. What's next will be revealed in due time, but it's sure easy to be impatient.
