Well,
The 90 day trail ended after 5 days. I had my first review this morning. It did not go well. She gave me until Wednesday to correct the issues. There were fundemental differences in the way we approach things. I could not make those change in three days. They were asking to much without any guidance or training. I resigned. I tried so hard to get that job now a week later I am looking again. I just hope that house I want is still available when I find another job!

Aww, crap!
The right job is out there, waiting for you. You just have to find it.

Well,
I spent most of the morning in bed resting from physically and mentally exhausting day on Friday and the rest of the week.
I and going to spend the rest of today exploring and sole searching. Tomorrow I am going to do some job hunting in Helena. I like the area.

I am beginning to think I not supposed to go back to the computer industry....

Well Mechelle, at least you had sense enough to get out before being trapped in an unpleasant situation. It's best not to try and pound ones round pegness into a square hole job.

That's what I thought.

Michelle- Nothing could be worse than being stuck in a job that isn't right for you. Imagine if the job wasn't right and you bought that house - now you are trapped. Be grateful it was clear early on it wasn't right for you. The right one will come along.

Something else is going on. I have entered on many new jobs and after 5 days you are lucky to know where the bathrooms are. I suspect that politics are evolved and you may have beaten out the person someone wanted in that position. Don't let the experience sour you on the job market.

My wife has lost 2 jobs over the years and walked away from one after one day, things turned out positive in all cases. Best of luck.

I now have an idea of what is going on. Everyone in the department is overworked and unable to see the value is spending time with a new hire to help take some of the load.
Yeah I do not see this as a failure but a lesson. I am glad I have my trailer. This enables me to hitch up and move on. I may just make the first weekend shindig after all.

Welcome to Montana. On traveling, I have found that if you can get to Idaho Falls, you can make any trip in the winter... But getting there is non-trivial. Got chains?

Go east you get blown off the road in ND, Go west, you get closed passes, chains only, and rocks, Go south, you get basic four lanes of ice. Go North? No... Nobody goes north. Unless you get a chinook..

Funny thing happened yesterday. A friend of mine called and suggested I contact a company that does private air traffic control towers. They need controllers. Since it is not federal there is no entry age limits.
I am calling today.

Airplanes and computers are in my blood. I just need to find a way to combine them. Airstream's would be nice too.

Good luck with your search. Sorry the first opportunity didn't work out, but it sounds like it was for the best. We hope to see you at a rally again.
