Nellis RV famcamp charges about $19 per day for full hookups. It's clean and the AF Hospital is within walking distance. PX and Commissary are across street.

Easy freeway exit and onramp.

Then there's Oasis RV park.

OK,DanB, that's funny....and I was incorrect. Asked John... he thought 20-25 minutes.

Larry, I hope you're not inconvenienced by the longer drive to the strip. Sorry.

We stayed at Main Street Station a couple of years ago for three nights. Not fancy at all, but the price was reasonable. It's located right next to the freeway, however the road is elevated at that point so noise was minimal. A short walk to Fremont Street which has a great light show in the evenings. The Brewpub at Main Street Station has good food, good beer, and is also very reasonably priced. A short drive to the strip, and many hotels on the strip have "self parking" which is free.

I'm with Cris911 on this one. Oasis RV resort is our favorite. Stayed there several times. Easy access and close to the strip. Added bonus is the Silverton Casino with a Bass Pro Shop attached right across the freeway. Lake Mead is a 40 minute drive to the strip if you don't hit traffic. The traffic to Hoover Dam is pretty bad sometimes...especially weekends and holidays. But...since you are staying at Lake Mead, make sure you go to the marina to feed the fish!
