Las Vegas in late March

We are looking at going to Las Vegas in late March. We are looking at some good recommendations on parks to stay at. We are going to see a hockey game and visit some friends in Henderson. Thanks for everyone’s help.

Las Vegas in March

The Las Vegas Oasis RV Resort is very nice. South end of town across I 15 from Silverton Hotel/Casino/Bass Pro Shops. Very nice pool, spa, food for sale. We have stayed there several times. On the east side of town you have a KOA at Sam's Town Hotel/Casino. Temps average 70+ degrees. T-Mobile is north of the Oasis a few miles. To avoid a parking headache there are several locations in the valley where you can park (free) and for $2.00 each way a shuttle to the arena. My friends that have used the shuttle love it. Most of the casinos are now charging for parking. On a hockey day, NYNY and Monte Carlo (soon to be Park MGM) charge $25.00 for parking. Good luck, enjoy!

We just stayed at Canyon Trail RV Park in Boulder City/Henderson. Nice park, great restrooms and showers and a couple of dog runs, laundry facilities pool. A little pricey but easy on and off highway. While in the Las Vegas area... 2 places you don’t want to miss: Valley of Fire, NV state park...absolutely stunning! Wonderful first come first Sites. About half have power and water with dump station as you leave. Great park to drive through if no time to stay....Then on the western side of Vegas is Red Rock Canyon...again gorgeous views...camping is ok no services but only 20 bucks a night...10 bucks if you have a senior pass. If you have the time and you like nature those are two spots you don’t want to miss.

Following this thread! We will be heading out to the Grand Canyon the last week of March and stopping in Las Vegas for two days ourselves. Looking forward to more feedback.

Hey firemed509, if time on our collective schedules allow, it'd be fun to meet other AS travelers during our stay. Let's PM if you'd like to work it out.
