Lake Oswego Campground or boondocking?

My husband and I are planning a trip from Phoenix to Portland with many stops along the way Lake Oswego Oregon being one of them. Any suggestions for camp grounds or boon docking spots in this area? Thanks,

Tiffany

Also Campgrounds in Portland area. We want to do some vintage shopping and check out some homes while we are there. So being close to town would be great.

Thanks.

Lake Oswego is an up-scale urban area, can't swear to it, but I don't think that their are any campgrounds around there.

We really like Champoeg State Park. It's about 30 miles south of Portland, but when we bought our new Airstream (and wanted to be IN IT ALREADY!) we still had commitments in town for a couple weeks, so we camped at Champoeg and drove into town for the things we needed to do and the commute in was no big deal at all.

Thank you for mentioning Champoeg State Park. I had forgotten all about that place. I was born in Newberg and we used to have our Easter egg hunt at that park when I was a wee lad.

Champoeg State Park will go onto our list of places to visit this summer.

Cheers,

Dan

Not aware of any in LO myself - other than someone's driveway

You might look into Roamers Rest on Hiway 99 south of Portland. Roamer's Rest RV Park I have never stayed there but I pass it everyday on my way to work... seems nice and clean. Pam

We use to boon dock at the Woodburn Wallmart but they no longer allow overnighters. Champoeg State Park is great and I would try for that. About 30 to 45 minutes from Portland proper. Closer in at exit 286 Wilsonville is the Pleasant Ridge RV Resort. Very nice RV Park and no age limit on trailers. Very close to LO. Enjoy Oregon, when are you coming up our way? We sure to visit the Oregon Coast.

We've stayed in a campground in Wilsonville that is verly nice and close to Lake Oswego and Portland. It's called Pheasant Ridge. It's got 5 point hook ups and the nicest laundry room I've come across in an RV park.
