Klamath River RV sites? (Winter steelhead fishing trip)
It's supposed to rain in a couple of days, which, I'm told, will improve the fishing on California's coastal steelhead rivers and streams. I'd like to set up camp somewhere on the Klamath River for a couple of weeks and do some fishing and exploring.
Does anyone know of any open RV parks or Airstream appropriate campsites in that area? My research tells me that most of what is easily findable on the Internet is closed for the winter. There have to be some spots though, right?
Alternate, nearby areas under consideration are the Smith and Chetco River drainages. I'm a little more interested in locations in the upper portions of all these rivers, but also open to coastal spots if that's what it comes to.
Thanks for any help..
