Just a Checklist

Flew airplanes for about 43 years and found I just couldn't get away from using checklist. The list below is for a 30' Flying cloud, and not in order, I have an app on my iPhone that allows me to electronically check off before I ever move my rig. But you could change it up, print out and seal it in plastic. Hope it helps, may save an item from damage. Been there, done that.

Checklist App

Thanks for the list TMWinn1. Out of curiosity, which app on your phone do you use?

Very informative list. Do you use it as displayed (alphabetical) or do you have it in the order in which you usually perform these tasks before flight? Can you show that list?

I'm not sure what tmwinn1 uses as a checklist app but upon the recommendation of someone on the forum I use Checklist+. They have a free version and the "+" version may cost $1.99 IIRC.

FWIW.

And jimewel, I see that you just joined the forum. Welcome. It's a good place to learn and share. And It's good to have you as a member.

My List is the name

"My List" is the name of the iPhone app. I have no affiliation with the developer and I am sure any checklist app would work. The task do not have to be in order, I do task by memory and then check off the list. I just don't move my rig until the checklist is complete.

Wunderlist app

The Wunderlist app is another good one that I believe is relatively inexpensive, at least it was a couple of years ago when we got it for our iPhones. It's easy to use and is sharable, as well. I edited the list a bit and added it to the Wunderlist app. I attached a couple of screenshots which hopefully show enough detail.

Checklist

I too am a former pilot and use a checklist. I second Checklist +. I made different checklists for different modes. Interior departure, exterior departure, winterizing, unwinterizing, and leaving the house.
This checklist makes it easy and also easy to edit or move item sequence.

For everyone's information, there have been many threads like this.

"Checklist" in the blue search box above yields:

"Departure checklist" -- https://www.google.com/search?biw=12....0.wTjlxcruPqA

There are some WORD and PDF attachments here and there FWIW.

Good luck,

Peter
